MINISTRIES & FELLOWSHIP

"Ministry" is from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning "to serve". In the New Testament, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in His name. Jesus provided the pattern for Christian ministry - He came, not to receive service, but to give it (Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17).

Fellowship is praying together. It is serving together. It is growing and aging together. These are the fibers of fellowship. Fellowship with God and fellowship with other believers go together. We hope you will join one of our many ministries to serve and fellowship with Solomon's Porch members.

His Kids Children's Ministry

The children's ministry at Solomon's Porch ranges from nursery age to 5th grade. With this in mind, we use a variety of tools in a safe environment to teach our kids about the love of the Father through His son Jesus. As always, Jesus is our example for all that we do.

"And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him." Luke 2:40

This is our desire for every child that joins us. We want them to grow strong in their faith, to be wise beyond their years, and to enjoy the grace of God in Christ. As they grow spiritually, they too will experience the joy of fulfilling the vision here at the Porch: Loving our Lord, Loving our neighbor, and Leading others to Christ!

Our Sunday School classes offer Nursery, Toddlers, and K to 5th grade. Each Sunday is filled with worship, Bible lessons, crafts, games, and snacks. Come and join the fun!

Solomon's Porch Youth Ministry

Solomon's Porch Youth is open to all youth, 6th grade through 12th grade. Our goal is to focus our life and attention on our Lord, Jesus Christ. We believe that we should be an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12). Youth meets once or twice a month for youth activities and fellowship. We meet in the sanctuary together on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to listen to the sermon.

Solomon's Porch Young Adults

We are a ministry at Solomon's Porch where young adults 18 to 28 can gather together around God's word and encourage one another in fellowship. We meet at least once a month to spend time in scripture and prayer together. We look forward to meeting and connecting with you!

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Adult Sunday School

Our Adult Sunday School class meets together each week at 9am in the Children's Ministry/Multi-purpose Room.

As a classroom of people from varied generations, backgrounds, educational levels, Biblical knowledge, and life experiences, we understand that each person can be a student, as well as a teacher. Through deep, honest group discussion, we seek to grow in our knowledge and relationship with Christ.

Every early-riser and seeking heart is encouraged to join us. The bell is ringing. Come on in and take your seat!

"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me." Proverbs 8:17

The Forge Men's Ministry

The first Tuesday of every month, the men of the Porch gather together for Bible study. Each session begins with a short devotion, followed by discussion questions. We are making our way through the scriptures, looking at the men of the Bible to see what in their lives we can admire, avoid, and apply. 1 Corinthians 14:20 says, "Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men." 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." With this in mind, we desire to know what God expects in the life of His men and seek to become that kind of man through the study of His word, the work of His spirit, and the accountability that comes from other, trusted men in His kingdom. It is our earnest prayer that every man at the Porch become the man God desires him to be and successfully fulfills God's call on his life.

Over Forties Fellowship

Welcome to the Over Forties Fellowship! A gathering of believers that come together once a month, usually the last Saturday, for food, fun, and edifying conversations. Please contact us for more information on our next gathering!

Women's Ministry

The Women of the Porch know there is only One Way. We are dedicated to teach, display, and uphold the truth that without Jesus, we are without hope. Join as we discover how we can be women that live according to the Word. We meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 5pm to pray with and for one another and for needs throughout the church

Every other month, we meet for fun, fellowship, activities, enrichment, and renewal. Our women's events are a great way to get to know each other in meaningful ways, so we can build our relationships with one another.
