The Gospel
There are three ways to know who someone is. First, there is what the individual says about himself. Second, there is what others say about him. The third and last way is to get to know that person yourself. We hope you will take the time to review these three with us.
1. Let’s take a look at what Jesus said about Himself.
“I Am…”
John 4:26                The Messiah
John 6:35                The Bread of Life
John 8:23                From Above
John 8:58                The Eternal One
John 9:5                  The Light of the World
John 10:7                The Door
John 10:36              The Son of God
John 11:25              The Resurrection and Life
John 13:13              The Lord and Master
John 14:6                The Way, Truth, and Life
John 15:1                The True Vine
Revelation 1:8          The Alpha and Omega
Revelation 1:17        The First and Last
2. Let’s take a look at what others say about Him.
God says: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” Matthew 3:17
Demons: “What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?” Matthew 8:29
Peter: “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16
The Centurion Soldier: “Truly this was the Son of God.” Matthew 27:54
Those of us at Solomon’s Porch believe that Jesus is truly the Son of God and the Savior of the world. We have examined the truth of the Bible and have placed our trust in Jesus ourselves. As a result, we now can say that we know Jesus for ourselves. This brings us to number three. This is your opportunity to know Jesus Christ for yourself.
3. This is what Jesus says to you.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosover believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
Jesus wants you to know that God loves you and desires to give you everlasting life. This life begins the moment we open up our hearts and allow Jesus in. At that moment, we begin a new life and a real relationship with God.
Do you sense Him knocking? Do you hear His voice? Will you open the door and invite Him in? He is here right now waiting for you. He is waiting for you to simply call upon His name.
Father God,

I have sinned against you and I am far from you. Forgive my sin. I open up my heart to Jesus right now and believe that He is your Son given to me for salvation. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him from the dead. I receive eternal life through His resurrection. Come into my heart and make it your home. Make my eternal home with you in heaven. I give my life to you and will follow Jesus Christ from this day on. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Thank you for saving me today.

In Jesus name,

Amen
